Welcome and Challenge
Welcome, to the first of this season’s top model recaps. This season is the long awaited guys v girls season. Now too be honest, at first I was very skeptical about he guys modelling, because the market for male models is much smaller than females. However, I’m not going to complain because as much as I like bitchy girls, I like topless guys just as much.
Ok, so last week the top 16 were announced, 8 men and 8 women got through to the top model house and we ended on a cliffhanger. Literally. The models are introduced to a runway like no other. One that goes down a building! Now, personally I think was pretty stupid… I mean they aren’t going to see their runway walk walking down a building! However, they did also walk on horizontal land so we got to see their actual walk aswell. Guess the building was just for drama!
So during the runway preperation we find out about the seasons first love triangle. Anyone wanna guess how many of these are going to happen? So this week it’s Mike/Bianca/Marvin. Marvin likes Bianca. Bianca likes Mike. Mike likes Bianca. I do have to admit, Marvins way about going after girls is a bit off-putting. He needs to calm down if he wants to get in Luke’s good books!
We also have the typical people who are scared of heights and the people who fall, and it’s all very amusing, but I mean, I want to see the walk. Not the falling. Onto walks, my two favourites were Jourdan and Renee. Oh and Corey (He is the fierce gay and I am so rooting for him). The worst walk by far was Mike. I mean you can seriously tell that he has NO modelling experience. Cringe-worthy fo’sure!
Now the winner of this challenge was Renee (totally deserved), closely folowed by Marvin, who too be honest didn’t have to do much because his face is seriously striking. Bianca and Mike were at the bottom… Little lovebirds shucks.
Back at the House
So Renee got the Tyra suite. Which is basically a shrine, and if we get the same shit 2 minutes of exploring it every week I am going to go shit crazy O.o
Also, it seems Marvin is just getting creepier and creepier. I mean he is confident. Cool. But he is so going the wrong way about getting with these girls… I don’t a single one of them are going to want to be with him after this…
Photo-Shoot
Ok, so this week the photoshoot theme is “Alternative Wedding”. I mean drama wise. Jourdan apparently got married and divorced when she was 18. And one of the guys is not into the gay wedding theme :O
Oh and Tyra is now doing peoples make-up. Oh she can do something else can she? Oh it means more Tyra screen time does it? Oh. Great.
Now, this week, keeping with my social media theme of my previous blogs, and this season of ANTM, each week there is going to be a “Share” Photo, one which I love and I really think everyone should. A “Tweet” photo, one which I love, or hate, but assume that there are people on the opposite end of spectrum to me. Oh and a “Delete” photo… you can gather what that means.
Share – Marvin, I mean this photo is fierce, it’s undeniable, and the fact the surrounding girls are really not doing anything makes him stand out tenfold. Pull back the attitude and you may be a Luke favorite mister!
Tweet – Alex – I really like this photo! But I think people may think it is a bit hoochy. I think she is working what she had too, and if she can tone down the sexiness she can go far! Her body position in this is just fierce!
Delete – Bianca – I’m sorry but what is this? This isn’t modelling. Yes the outfit and scenario doesn’t call for much but it calls for a LOT more than this. Sorry girl, but where is this experience we keep hearing about?
Elimination
So, the judges, challenge score, and social media vote were put together, and Marvin came out on top! With Bianca/Mike/Chris.S in the bottom 3. With 2 people going home! Shocker!!! Bianca was the first eliminated, and then Chris.S (which was a loss because he was way better than Mike). However, this is only the first week and it seems that Mike is definitely favoured by Tyra because she “found him” so what can one expect but for him to be safe?
Ok, so onto what I know you have ALL been waiting for, the spreadsheet. Top model is a bit more annoying now because of the points given out but, I am not just going to add up points, I also get my own score out of 10 to give each model each week, so sorry judges, but if you get it wrong I am going to have my say! For now, Dom is my fave, I mean look at that face, but in the overall lead is Marvin, right now it’s all a bit obvious who is where, but as weeks go on we should start to see some change.
